I'm more of lover then a fighter these days..
I do still have my mouth piece sitting in my drawer some where and my 16 ounce sparring gloves hanging in my garage.. Haven't grappled or boxed in years though and my neck still hurts to this day from twisting out of those chokes and what not years back..
Werdum tried to get me to grapple and box with him last time I visited his gym here in LA, Cali... I had to take a pass.. We are about the same size though.. Werdum is a really nice guy though and I didn't want to knock him out

Im 6', 180# and earned my brown from carlos machado back in 2011, getting my black wasnt worth it. I would have had to have moved, the time, $$$ and committment, including injuries, just wasnt worth it. I never wanted to open my own gym or compete, so there was no reason to go further than brown. I roll at a buddies gym a few times a month now, more interested in boxing. And yoga

Yoga is great and I need to get back to doing that now that I'm getting older.. I was in the best shape of my life when doing power yoga classes and surfing at the same time years back..
I lift weights and run every day now but nothing beats surfing and intense yoga if you wanna get stacked, strong, flexible, ripped and stay injury free.. NOTHING...Comment -

my son was in tae kwon do for a couple of weeks, had his first sparring session with some 'brown belt'.... kicked the brownbelt in the head, the brownbelt fell to the ground crying his ass off.....
on a side note, while at aTm I through a korean exchange student with a black belt out a second story window of Moses Hall when he came out of his room at around 2:00 am bitching that I was makin' too much noise after coming back from the dixie chicken drunk off my ass......

Power yoga classes will make you cry for your mommy.. All other yoga classes are gay and girly I agree...
I laughed also until I tried it.. A friend of mine dragged me into a class years ago and I was shaking and spent as hell after.. Met and hooked up with alot of hot chicks going to those power yoga classes too.. Double win I kid you not!!!!

One of my best friends growing up took karate for years. He was a brown belt. He worked out all the time from a young age, so he was lean and muscular, but he was.... well let's just say he was not a tough guy.
In our junior year some other kid had beef with him that was pretty scrawny.
One day my friend says to me, "Perry wants to fight me, what should I do?"
I said, "Kick his ass."
And he says, "Well yeah, but... should I wait for him to push me, should I just punch him? I need a plan,"
I'm like, "Wtf are you talking about? You've been taking karate all of your life. What do you mean 'you need a plan'?"
He just blankly stares at me, and I realize that the karate means nothing.
So I gave him the "toss a lighter at him and when he goes to catch it, clock him" trick. Yes, it's dirty but this kid needed help. He was soft and although I thought the karate should help, when it came down to it... it obviously would not.
Needless to say... he got his ass beat.
If I didn't know better I would have thought he moved to Seattle and became a male nurse.
