I have it on good authority that she said no on account of the pizza being missing a slice.
His problem was not that he ate the slice, his problem was that he denied it and tried to blame it on Rafael from Little Caesars.
Veronica then called that Little Caesars because CURVEBALL, she fuccking knows Rafael because they played on the same coed softball team together. Rafael says,
"Fucck no, I didn't eat a slice of a hot and ready pizza, I work here you think I would eat this shit."
Veronica hangs up the phone, which was on speakerphone and looks at the guy.
Rafael is now all pissed because she hung up abruptly and Veronica owes him $32 for post Coed softball drinks from two weeks ago and feels like she has been ducking him over a measly $32.
Veronica then tells our protagonist to go fucck himself because she said she is sick of him constantly lying about such insignificant things and it makes her wonder what else he might be lying about, like whether he and Chelsea ever slept together because she heard that he did but he says he didn't.
He then shows her the flowers and then she started crying and said she just doesn't know if she can forgive someone that she can't trust and that she doesn't want a pizza or flowers, all she wants is a man she can trust in her life.
Veronica has major trust issues with her father because, when she was 7 years old he left Veronica's mother for a coworker and they moved to Seattle to sell hot-tubs. This has trickled down in her experiences with her partners and she has a very low tolerance for being lied to.
She told our protagonist that she has to think about whether or not to take him back but in order to do so she needs time and space and it would be best if he left and they spoke the next day.
Our protagonist is now horny, annoyed and hungry so he has to decide whether to take the rest of the pizza with him, essentially giving him zero chance at repairing things with Veronica or whether to make like he's trying to make things better, say a few kind words and be on his way.
Seeing as he never really saw a future with Veronica, he took the pizza, ignored her tears and called Chelsea who, as it turns out, he did actually bang that one time.Comment -
