Who loves Classical Music?

Give it up boys... it is freaking awesome.

I am a rocker. I have loved everything rock my whole life. Punk, pop, metal, hardcore, heavier the better if it is something with talent. Blues melt my skin away, and country draws me in, sometimes.

I am sitting here now listening to classical music while posting and it is great. I also listen to classical on road trips.

I don't mind classical per se but it's not my preferred listening. My go to guy musically when I just wanna unwind is Ludovico Einaudi... his piano compositions are classically inspired but with a melodic bent I guess you could say is more pop or cinematic. Some of his pieces are backed with orchestral instrumentation as is the case here:

I have a neighbor with whom I recently became friends. She programs classical music for radio. We really have nothing in common but have become close. One day early on we were talking on the phone on a Sunday and she had to go "check scores."

For a split second I got excited and thought wow, she likes football!! Then it dawned on me. Ohhhhhh

.....music scores. We still laugh about that.

I enjoy some of it. I can find music that I enjoy from all genres.

When I was a kid I used to beg for those Instrumental Magic tapes they would have commercials for. Finally got them, loved them. When I was in college I would listen to traditional classical as I could focus while it was playing unlike many other genres.

Also when I was a kid my brother made me a copy of a Kitaro tape he had... used to put it on every night before I went to bed (assuming the Met game didn't go long or was not playing on the West Coast, as I'd have on WFAN instead). He does a lot of instrumentals, mixes in some synth and keyboards... real melodic and catchy, great bedtime music.
