I have a nephew that is in HS in Buford GA. He has been a standout in gymnastics for many years, ranked in top-5 for his age for several years now in the US. He participated in junior olympics last year, and now is a senior in HS and getting offers for scholarships. Over the past few weeks, he has received offers from Ohio St, Oklahoma, Penn St, and Illinois. Then just today I get the word from my sis (his mom) that he received a full ride to Stanford.

Congrats Andrew Bitner!! Might be an Olympic medalist someday, but more likely he will be a Stanford graduate. That is great news.

gymnastics, ho hum. not really a sport but an activity. amazing that they give scholarships for it. glad he got it though, free ride at stanford worth a lot.
