if Trump gets BLOWN OUT (likely): then the blame rest squarely on him.
He leaves politics and the GOP can repair itself and move on.

if Trump LOSES a close race: then a huge GOP Civil War will splinter into at least two factions
looking for who to blame. Trump will blame the people that did not support him,
..and they in turn will blame Trump positions and scandals. People will endlessly
debate then how much power the nominee can wield. (Romney lost narrow race)
and only had "the 47% gaffe. Nothing else. Ideal nominee outside of that.

the guy who started this thread is the biggest loser in online history. and i half thought that before last night.

there was always an argument out there that the polls didn't properly capture things for many reasons...........

there was also always an argument that maybe more latinos and blacks would vote for trump than expected. expectations were very low for these groups but ted cruz was elected texas senator and he's very very anti-illegal immigration. illegal immigration is very bad for blacks and hispanics who already live in USA. maybe they figured it out. or maybe they didn't hate trump that much.

i expected hilary to win. i thought trump would come up 1 big state (pennsylvania) short.......... but these alternative fairly rational arguments were out there. and nate silver - who i still like - had been wrong about trump consistently. his parlor trick of 50 states correct was alot of poor predictions ago.

I agree with all that you said... mostly about blacks and hispanics. They do get it, at least enough of them do. If Trump leads correctly, and I think he will, I honestly think that the GOP can turn the diversity of this country into an asset for the party of liberty, a complete contradiction of what people have mostly thought for decades.

History is on the side of the GOP. If you know anything about our political history you know that it is the Democratic party was the one that apposed EVERY SINGLE STEP of liberty for minorities over a very long time. Starting with slavery almost 2 centuries ago, to the Jim Crow laws (abolishment) in the past century. And the smoke and mirrors trickery of government handouts that keep minorities a voting subject for their abuse.

Trump can turn the minds of many minorities (not all). He has a great start...
