Women were put on the earth to drain men's souls.
    Everyone of them.

I just finished arguing with a girl I know (Who I thought had a clue.) over how a car lease works. It was the dumbest argument ever. I had to send her a link to carsdirect.com to prove my point.

Do you know what she does for a living? She sells cars in a new car dealership.

It'd be nice to hear what she thought and your counter.

I sold cars. Lemme guess, she has about 60 days of experience. One out of one thousand women have the emotional competence to be successful in the car business.

In a nut shell.....She said that no matter what your credit is, you need to at least put down $1,000 on any car lease. The other advantage is, if you do put that money down......you lower your car payments by at least $20.

I countered with.....I've never put a dollar down on my leases in my life, because there is no reason to do it. It's not financing where you're saving interest over the length of the loan. The amount is fixed. Also, If the car gets totaled leaving the lot, you're out a $1,000.

The dealership probably told her to tell people to put a down payment to lower the lease payment $20 so they could scam $300 or so over the course of a lease.

$20 a month equals about $1000 in profit

Ahh ok. I know how arguing with women can be, I used to have one who'd argue with me about anything sports related as for as strategy and X's and O's.

How? $20 has to come off each month on a 36 month lease.

Cut her some slack these new car salesmen have the closers do all the number crunching then the finance guy. Most salesmen not all are guides/baby sitters on the test drive these days then they hand it off like I said above.

Whether it is a purchase or a lease, the dealer is selling the car. If it's a lease, they are selling the car to the lease company. $20 a month = $1000 in profit is a general rule of thumb.

You can't multiply the payment by the number of months to determine profit on a lease because you have to factor in the residual value of the vehicle at the end of the lease term.

That data breach was known about two years before it was announced. Yahoo was asking people to change passwords and even get new accounts in late 2014.

They didn't tell anyone until the information showed up for sale on the internet.

Now, perhaps women should probably stick to selling cars the best way they know how...
