Am I wrong for siding with this guy, at least from a legal standpoint?
Donk, get in here.
It seems like the prosecutors wanted to go after the car, and not the drunk drivers here. Backpage claims they did their part to moderate and eliminate ads left by underage girls and such, but it seemed pretty easy to slip through the cracks.
What is the real crime here as far as they go, if any? Negligence? I just can't get on board with the whole "Sex Trafficking" argument when it comes to these guys, because they weren't (unless something was going on behind the scenes) the ones trafficking. If they show they had some known side deals with some of the pimps and such, that would be different, but the article doesn't say this.
