Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Type R at Paris Motor Show: Looks savage
Finally a decent looking competitor to the Golf GTI and Focus RS.
Sounds like 2.0L I4 with 310 bhp.
Thing looks excellent in my opinion.

They are my favourite waste of money though.
This things will probably cost like $35,000 new which is way too much.

Pretty significant tuner scene up here.
Lot's of modded, civics, jettas, golfs etc.
We don't get all the hot hatches that they sell in Europe so the options are limited here.
Lots of Subaru BRZs / Scion FRS on the road these days. Drove one a while back and they are fun.

I would agree if any American car company knew how to build a proper engine before 2008

I got yeah, very interesting. I wanted to get into Rally Racing,I guess its not as hard to get into as youd think, aslong as you have a local Racing Club in your area.

I used to rally cross when I was younger. A lot of fun but difficult to be particularly successful in a road car with minimal modifications.
Actually rallying, like any form of legitimate racing, is expensive. Need a purpose built machine with the right safety equipment. You can buy them for a reasonable price, especially in the UK or EU but race cars need constant maintenance which, if you can't do it yourself, will be incredibly expensive.
Need a lot of money to get into rallying with any seriousness. Money and balls. Lots of balls.

We do not, unfortunately. Wish we did.
Import regulations much more relaxed here than in the US (15 years as opposed to 25) so we do get some GTRs here. Just started seeing R34 skylines but more R33s.
The cost of importing them is so high that you only really ever see really special cars, like Skylines, get imported.
See some JDM Imprezas, Silvias et al. but you can get the North American market versions of those so it sort of seems like a waste of time and money to import unless you really want something in right hand drive which seems dumb.

Good car for people who can't handle torque or RWD. I will be leaving this thing in the dust on the slightest incline.

In a straight line, yes. Will lose to less expensive cars in the corners though.
