Yeah. Prices are expensive in Australia for that reason. I'm sure they'll get off on life for ratting out the operation, but they're going to be spending a good chunk of their life in prison.

Do cruise ships have more or less security than a plane? I'd think trying to get 95 kilos thru an airport would be impossible with the x Ray machines and drug dogs, but do ships have different security measures? A cruise ship making multiple stops would be a good way to transport drugs...

well if they're moving over 200lbs at a time, i doubt this is their first time. they probably tested it out with few pounds then a little more and a little more...

In Australia passengers have to go through a customs hall that looks and works just like an airport.

I would have thought the cruise boat chicks would have planned to drop it over the side to a small boat for pickup personally. Would not expect them to risk regular customs with bags full of it.

Not sure about desert patrols but the waters are pretty heavily watched to the North. Think most stuff comes in on container ships and air cargo probably.

Glad you said this. The whole time, I thought they were probably victims of foreign kidnapping, where they make you smuggle drugs/jewels/etc over borders. Pretty common in that part of the world. But if they were repeat offenders, that wipes out that.
