Yes it is good...I have a few relatives in the shithole of Louisiana and one of the only good things about that state is the food. Fried alligator is considered a delicacy

I cooked some up before (breaded and fried) I thought that it was horrible. Very chewy with no real meaty texture. Then again, you are eating a reptile.

Deep Fried Gator is delicious, gotta get it from people that know how to trim and prepare properly. Kinda of a cross between chicken and pork.
