Heading to San Diego next week on business. I'm thinking about crossing the border (walking) to hit the casinos and maybe stroll on over to the red light district. Been reading online how great the place is and how everything is so cheap.

Anyone go there on a regular basis? I'm a little worried casue I'll probably be going solo and safety/security is concerning.

I go about once a year. Last time was in the spring of this year. It used to be great. You would park your car in the duty-free lot and walk 100 yards across the border to the taxi stand and you were in. Now, you have to walk twice that far up and over the freeway and back over again. Something new this year is that you have to present your passport before you can even get in. You used to be able to just walk in or drive in without getting checked.

Once you are there you take a taxi to Adelita's or the Hong Kong club $5 + $1 tip). There are strip shows on 2 stages. Some with soap suds, some lesbian shows. About 50 women are there in the club. All can be had for a price. You are a rock star there as long as you have the cash.

Some of these women are 9's and 10's. Some are short and fat. The 9's and 10's can be had for $60-$80. Once you pick one out she takes you by the hand to the hotel next door (it's really just a place with short-time rooms). You pay $15 for the hotel room and you get a condom and 20 minutes. There is no upsell once you get in the room. You get a blowjob and sex.

On the street are the non-pros. You can take one of them upstairs for $25. It costs more to have sex with them with all their clothes off (usually $40) total. The hotel is $5 for 20 minutes. Every once in a while you'll find a real gem on the street.

On occasion I'll go up with 3 different girls (separately) in one night just for the experience of being with 3 different women in a night. It's pretty fun.

As far as safety goes, just stay in the general area of the Zona Rosa (Red Zone) and you'll be just fine. They have a strong police presence there. The American dollar is very big there so they want the Americans coming back time and time again.

Once you are done you take a taxi back to La Linea (the border) for $5 + tip. You go through customs and then walk to your vehicle in the parking lot, pay the parking lot rental ($15) and you drive to wherever you're going in the US.

Here's the total damage:
Taxi ride to club: $5
Lady: $60
Hotel: $15
Taxi ride to the border: $5
Parking lot fee: $15

Total: $100

You can probably get a Backpage girl for that much without all the hassle but there is something to say about the experience of being around 50 women all there to have sex and pulling out a 9 or 10 instead of the 5's and 6's you see on Backpage.

You will fit right in. Most guys in the Zona Rosa are white Americans with a few Japanese tourists and even a few black guys.

It's not necessary to know Spanish although it helps. Here are a few phrases that help:

Hong Kong Club, por favor (telling the taxi driver where you want to go)

Hables Ingles? (do you speak English?) Again, most people speak enough English to get the job done.

Como te yamas? (what is your name?)
Hablo Espanol un poquito. (I only speak a little Spanish.)

You can ask her in English "how much to go upstairs?" She will understand this and will tell you in English how many dollars so you don't have to calculate pesos. All ladies take US dollars.

The guy at the desk at the hotel speaks enough English to tell you $15.
The guys at the bar or waiting tables in the Hong Kong Club or Adelita's speak English enough to get you a drink.

The cops aren't there to shakedown tourists in the Zona Rosa. They want all that American money and they'll do anything to make sure it's safe as long as you don't stray outside the main tourist areas.

If you're caught doing something dumb like urinating on the street or something like that then you're going to pay some bribe money to prevent going to jail. Make sure you have enough money. You don't want to come up without enough money to take a taxi to the border or to pay the parking lot attendant on the US side.
