About 18 years ago, I was about 6 beers deep into sighting in a laser scope on a brand new Benjamin 10 pump pellet pistol, and I was using BB's instead of pellets. I had my finger over the barrel to prevent the BB from rolling out the front(This was a single shot gun designed for shooting pellets only, but I was out which was why I was using BB's). I was in my living room shooting a target in the kitchen about 30 feet away and I fired a shot without moving my finger from the end of the barrel. The BB blew through the bottom of the tip of my finger, ricocheted off of the bone and blew out the top of my fingernail and stuck in the drop ceiling above.

It hurt really fukking bad(like I was holding a firecracker) and I still don't have any feeling in the tip of my left index finger and the fingernail continues to grow somewhat deformed.

Not really. When new people come over to my house, I always show them the BB in the ceiling tile and tell them the origin of how it got there.

I have never been shot and i pray that it never happens. but i believe being shot is the worst thing that can happen to someone as it cause both physical and emotional illness
