Has anyone submitted a sample to 23andme or ancestry? I'm wanting to give it a try but curious to hear some feedback first. Anyone?

No, dont waste your time and money, its almost impossible to find your true heritage as far as anything you will really care about. Even when you go back 4 generations you have 30 grandparents which even at that point could be mixed with anything.

I've submitted numerous DNA samples to the shower drain and it ultimately came back as a $118 bill from Roto-Rooter.

Watch the special 60 minutes did awhile back, probably on youtube somewhere about it. Its a fraud, if you think about all the people involved with you being here so many generations ago is virtually impossible to know.

I do think that it would be interesting to see what race build up a person is but for the most part can't you just look in and the mirror and ask where your grandparents came from?

I had a friend who was adopted. White guy with darker skin and dark hair. He knew his birth mom was white but he thought maybe his dad had some strong italian genes or something. He finally got to the age where he could do some research about his birth mom. He contacted her etc and there is a lot to it but it turned out his biological dad was Native American.

So I sort of just invalidated some of the points i made in my earlier post
