in fishing terms....

the anticipation I'm feeling right now while awaiting a response from SBR Brass is kind of like when you have a big ass strike and set the hook, and start reeling.... that anticipation of getting what is obviously a big ass fish in the boat is a bad ass feeling.... I have it right now, as I've got a trophy 29-inch speckled trout on the line, now I just got to get him in the boat......

you're hoping he doesn't break the line, you're hoping he doesn't throw the hook, you're hoping he doesn't rip off drag, dive deep, and cut the line on some of the oysters in the reef you're fishing over, you're hopin' your drunk fishing buddy can net him without incident....

once everything works out, and he's in the boat, you celebrate, with high-fives, a few "THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!!!!'S, ETC.....

I see SBR as the oyster reef here, only that reef can cut the line and let this trophy trout I have on the line get away.....

it's not really "bad", it's just a tad bit "gay", or, I mean, alternative lifetyle-ish.... no offense to any of The Gays....

to put it in deer hunting terms.... the anticipation is like a really nice 150 B&C buck way across a prickly-pear flat (ie, pear flat, but most of you wouldn't have known wtf a pear flat was if I just called it that), and he's out there about 750 yrds, but headin' my way behind a doe.... The anticipation is nerve racking, because a lot of things can happen as he makes it into my 250-300 yrd wheel house with my 7 mag....

for example, a hotter doe headin' the other way could distract him, he may sense something's amiss due to his keen awareness, a cow might walk out of the brush and spook the doe away, and he'll follow her..... a f'n oil gauger might drive down a ranch road and spook him and the doe.... waiting for him to get into comfortable shooting range can be excruciating.....

I know I'm going to pull the trigger, but have to be absolutely sure I've got a good, clean kill shot.....

in the present case, I've also got to get the equivalent of the "ranch manager's approval", ie, "express SBR approval", just in case this particular buck just might be off limits....

but the initial indicator is this buck is about to hit the ground.....
