In Ireland they eat fresh fish, leg of lamb or shepherd's pie. Just ate some delish home cooked corned beef & redskin potatoes the past 24 hours. Made some cabbage too for others but i don't like the taste. http://www.bustle.com/articles/14812...orned-beef-and

By the way, corned beef/cabbage/potatoes is a damn good meal to have a few times a year. I always liked it.Comment -

#4Since it's Lent for them they shouldn't be doing that or other things (like getting foolishly wasted)
But it's not like St. Patrick was Christian, or anything
Amazing how few people actually look into things in their lives.Comment -

#7Didn't St Patrick run all the snakes out of Ireland?
I thought, naturally, that snake soup was the meal of choice in celebration.

#11The corn beef is OK, but the carrots, potatoea and cabbage are flavorless mush.
Boars Head Black Pastrami Brisket, sliced thin, NOT shaved
Good Swiss
Good coleslaw
Deli or Dijohn mustard
Fresh Seeded Rye bread
Also make them as sliders for a party.Comment -

#28I like my beef corned, and my potatoes red and steamed, but I like my cabbage slawed. I'm not a 12th century pauper so I'll go ahead and not eat boiled cabbage for dinner.Comment -
