I have a friend who makes decent cash as a toilet paper surveyor

he goes to public restrooms and waits until someone goes into a stall and and drops a deuce

then he introduces himself from outside the door and asks the guy (or gal sometimes) to go ahead and do a first wipe with the TP in the stall

then he hands them two more brands (one of which he works for) and has them do some wipes with those. Than he asks them to rate them on a number of metrics.

then he shakes their hand and compiles the data.
