I remember one concert around 00' at Louisville palace , I was center stage bout 5 rows back. He came out into the crowd and was crawling over us as he was singing. he crossed over from row in front of me to right in front of me, foot on the armrest and hand on my shoulder. Dude was wild and frail looking, eyes all sunk in. Still put on good show though.

Even when Weiland did that SOLO thing for a year or two.... it wasn't that good.
STP was great not just for Scott being the front man, the DeLeo brothers could and can, write awesome catchy hook driven music.

That's a good song, Shortstop. I always thought he sounded kinda like Kurt on the verses.

So true, Eddy! I always thought the same thing. It's one of my favorite songs ever!

Now that they're both gone it makes the song even more haunting and meaningful...

STPs catalog as a whole was pretty penetrating amazing. Weiland was a great writer and frontman when he could keep his shit together but the last few years he was a train wreck. RIP Scott Weiland

I remember back in 1996 when STP came out with their 3rd album.

A lot of people turned their back on them. Even radio stations did.

Everyone was surprised with the different tune.

Some say... they lost their identity.
