About to turn 30.....

for the past 17 years i have been gambling excessively and I have come to a point where I just can;t do it anymore all i do is lose. it does nothing for me anymore it used to be fun but now its a chore. i have a ton of debt that i will never pay back and gambling has turned me into a bad person. I am sad on the inside.

lilpete, I envy you. You are man enough to admit this instead of turning your head. What I would suggest for you and anyone else that gambles is to find something less expensive to obsess over. Because all gambling is, is a form of obsessive compulsive disorder. Once most people start obsessing over something it's a lifestyle that is hard to stop 'cold turkey', so just change what you obsess over. Exercise, video game, college, anything you can do in large quantities. Good luck bud.. I'm 3 years behind you and hope I either quit even or earlier than you will.

Yeah, I gamble for the enjoyment, as a math tech geek I love beating the numbers, I love that aspect of gambling more than the cash.

no, i signed up because i wanted to share my picks with people but i just keep losing. thought the smart money strategy would work (jets line goes from -3 to +1 even though the whole world is on the jets;bet the other team, thats a smart money bet), im decent at poker but i always lose everyhting in blackjack, just cant stay away from it.

Yeah Guy college is a great way to rack up a ton of debt and get a job at Lowes or Home Depot. You don't need college everyone has a wealth of information in their pockets College is for suckers these days

well i used to play $2500 heads up holdem tourneys with my buddy every weekend when i was in high school he OWNED me, then to get to even he would take my bets on nfl sunday and i always picked the jets cuz theyre my team and i always lost, i owe him many thousands......when i started working i would save money for bills each week and blow everthing else on sports betting, did that for many years...i am down around $300k overall
