The agenda here is made clear by an actor, Andy Parker, on the same day his daughter died. This is not genuine, and this is not how people like you and I can act the day of a legitimate tragedy. You'll see. I don't care if I'm called crazy, I know what I am and it doesn't matter to me what human robots say because you're fine tuned to speak on behalf of those in control.

Kraken I’m not trying to be argumentative but you may be shortsighted here. This isn’t about whether the fool who breaks into your house has a gun and you may or may not. My comment reflected more on the fact that the United States was born out of a revolution. That revolution was in part born from the concept of taxation without representation.

I can assure you that many, many who are being taxed are not being represented. And that’s just a start.

You’re right, it’s a moot point…personal gun ownership will never be taken away. There are those, many well-armed, who will fight for their guns, using their guns.

If guns you have are outlawed, but you have them cozy in your house. I suppose you would be ok with the government barging in one day and taking them, since it’s against the law and all. Hell, in reality, they don’t even follow the Constitution anymore, and that’s the law of the land.

While I understand the need to adapt to change, I believe some of the Founding Fathers were visionaries. They felt a probably knew they were God inspired and understood the nature and principles of people, economies, and governments…none of which have changed.

There is and always has been tension between government powers and civil liberties. This isn’t just about guns; it’s about the methods to the madness of limiting personal liberties. This country was set up with certain ideals and liberties that, somewhat ironically, allow for subtle change that can undermine those very freedoms.

Many of these freedoms are at odds with the ideals of socialism, communism, and fascism. Traces of these ideologies are all over the world and within leadership. Those in big business, money, power and leadership tend to resort to those ideals as they help to keep the status quo…money flowing, power of policy, etc.

So while many of you talk at the water cooler about agendas, shootings, and guns, a much broader war is really being placed on the people. It’s not just financial, but because of our culture and the illusion of money, that’s what hurts people the most. That’s a related but separate topic altogether.

It’s all part of a broader picture and for more understanding and an answer to a question Kraken once asked…

Anyway, this is a flawed yet terribly frightening world we live in Jay. We live in a world where the “right” message is often buried beneath the biggest advertisers or the message that makes more profit. And the media outlets are no help. If one news source in New York runs a story that then gets picked up around the country, over and over in headlines and the internet, it becomes truth; regardless of fact.

It’s not just in the US, many other western countries fall victim, even Canada.

Believe it or not, there is an enemy of the people. Many of the most well-known presidential debates in US history have been between those who side with the public, and those who side with the cabal. Even today, the debate rages on.

I’m not saying own a gun just in case, there is a case. That's one reason why there is a right to own guns. I'm not sure guns have to be the answer, but the case is well documented through history and doomed to repeat itself; it’s a matter of economics, if not guns or anything else.

The “philosophy” may seem flawed, but it’s reality. It may seem frightening, but remember the US was born out of a revolution and much of the country has not forgotten that fact.

When it comes down to it, people will protect the rights that they feel their forefathers fought for and there are those in power, backed by powerful groups, that aim to take those rights away.

The uneducated masses (both in current events and history) and those with little critical thinking skills will gladly hand those rights over in exchange for a little security or even a little help in tragic time of need, regardless of who caused the threat or tragedy.

Don’t worry bro, I’m not stockpiling guns waiting for the day to tear the whole shithouse down, the shithouse is doing fine falling on its own.

The key is to understand the framework and then events and policy make more sense.

History correlates with the bible, and that's something atheist can't deny. Some things in the bible are hard to understand and some things are spiritual so, it's easy to see why people just write it off as babble, but if we really wanted to know and really took the time to search our hearts and the Word of God, I'm sure we will find what we are looking for.

Good, informative post. I havent checked out the links yet but I will. I was being short-sighted, or more narrow sighted.

I was simply addressing the basic concept that if the government were to outlaw guns, it would only cause a lot of good otherwise law abiding citizens to become instant criminals because they're hiding guns they've safely owned for years. But you already understand this, as do most other people. Prohibition didn't work and created one hell of a black market. This would be no different.

i know these numbers are arbitrary number but I bet 90% of politicians own guns. And I bet at least 66% of Americans own a gun. The NRA is a huge, very powerful lobby. The short of it is, as you said, our guns are fine.

And if the gov't came for my guns, they could buy my AR-15's if they really wanted them. In reality, they could have them, I wouldn't risk my freedom for them. I would however keep my shotgun, a 9mm and my 40 and 45. The difference between those funs is that they serve a purpose, they are for my safety. The AR's aren't.
