First Bush is close to a total idiot he can not survive debates. If he chooses not to get involved that would be his best bet but the public will catch on to it. The last Bush nearly destroyed us we had to elect a scammer to cover up the mess

his inability to deal with the iran hostage situation for over a year for one, Soviet grain embargo, handed over the panama canal, just a weak overall president. but hey, agree to disagree.

probably the least popular thing Carter did was boycott the 1980 summer olympics
because he disapproved of the Soviet incursion of Afghanistan.

I don't blame him for the hostage crisis, he just didn't cut a deal as quick
as Reagan's camp did.. in a controversial manner, Iran-Contra/Arms for Hostages.

Of course, interest rates were VERY high... and the stock market was deader than sin.
