#2Went to school with this guy... Easily the most gifted musician I've ever known
It's a master class in collaboration as violinist Robert Gupta and cellist Joshua Roman perform Halvorsen's "Passacaglia" for violin and viola. Roman takes the viola part on his Stradivarius cello. It's powerful to watch the two musicians connect moment to moment (and recover from a mid-performance hiccup). The two are both TED Fellows, and their deep connection powers this sparkling duet.Comment -

#5Can't say I've seen any good medical ones
Here are two about addiction that I found pretty fascinating.
What really causes addiction -- to everything from cocaine to smart-phones? And how can we overcome it? Johann Hari has seen our current methods fail firsthand, as he has watched loved ones struggle to manage their addictions. He started to wonder why we treat addicts the way we do -- and if there might be a better way. As he shares in this deeply personal talk, his questions took him around the world, and unearthed some surprising and hopeful ways of thinking about an age-old problem.
They're redifining addiction, looking at the actions taken by our government and analysing their decisions based on effectiveness, or lack thereof.
I find it fascinating that all Ted speakers have come to the same conclusion, that we are failing miserably in how we address addiction in the US and it comes with a steep cost to the taxpayer, $600 billion. Yet, our gov't fails to change course. Lot of money is being made off of addictionComment -
