and yes, I filleted (skin the filet, ie, filet off the tough exterior shark skin prior to baking) and baked him at 425 degrees for 22 minutes, seasoned only with Old Bay Seasoning and thin slices of real butter across all of the top side of each filet, on a cookie sheet completely covered with tin foil -- damn good eating for a dinner party we had the next night..... even a Brit who had only had shark once before in his life said it was great, and he'd never believe it was shark.....

funny thing is, he asked me before I started dinner, with a proper British accent, "Is it going to taste like ammonia?" I said it's gonna taste a lot of things, but ammonia will not be one of them.......... Had me wondering who the fuk prepped his shark, and how it was done, the one other time he had eaten it...... I surmise it was probably Lamar Odom or Kris Humphries, and it was obviously "stewed" in Klhoe's vagina........

this one was small enough to keep; threw back the 4 1/2 to five footers (bonnetheads and blacktips); kept the one in the photo for dinner (see above)

the way you seasoned it and cooked it sounds good. I will have to try that method sometime.

experience. knowing/having done it for years, but to simplify, you adjust baking time on the thickness of the filets you're baking... That shark's filets were a little thicker than the filets you get off a 20-22" trout, and I usually cook trout filets for 18-20 mins; added a few extra mins of cooking time to account for the size difference....

We call it 'flake' down here and it used to be just about all you could get in a fish n chip shop before the greenies convinced people sharks needed to be protected.

We always had plenty of sharks and now have way too many plus we get all sorts of shit imported Vietnamese catfish served up in most fish n chip shops now.

Went to New Symrna often when I lived in Orlando. Not terribly crowded but enough going on to find something to do. I like gulf beaches personally, but really liked NSB

i have a vague recollection of having gone by it, is it on 44? I'll be back there next 4th of july (unless I have a damn good poker year and buy my way in to the main event, or win a seat somehow), for the Daytona Race and more beach fun........ another week to ten days

Not sure...it's in port orange. I use to play at the Daytona card room a bit. Haven't been there since I moved...was always plenty of action there. Card rooms next to greyhound & horse tracks are gold mines

haven't played there in awhile, always a bunch of tight old guys (no offense if youre an old guy). I hit the high hand with a straight flush to the king there last time I went for 1k$, might need to make another trip soon.

saw one of the worst beats I've ever witnessed in poker there. Guy flopped the nut boat and got beat by a runner runner steel wheel. Was about a $800 hand playing 1/2. Fun times.

can't stand them, if you have it they fold, you can't bluff them because theyll station you with top pair all day, its a lose lose. I like to play Tampa Hardrock, a bunch of crazy fish slinging money at 1/2 and 2/5
