    wouldn't know about that porkchop...the cheap stuff that get at my local liquor store for $10 does the trick just fine!...

        Depends on availability but the Stags Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 is always great or go with a Joseph Phelps Insignia which is a bordeaux style blend. Both right in that range and should be available at a respectable wine merchant.

          I agree that Joseph Phelps is a great wine. Although I usually stick with their regular Cab which is between $50-$75 depending on what year you get.

                    There are a lot of great wines out there for a lot of money, but I feel like once you get above $70 the quality doesn't increase proportionately with the price. Seems like $40-$70 is the sweet spot, imho

                      Agreed.

                      The Struie by Torbreck is about $55. It's friggin delicious. They also make The Factor (goes for about $100).

                      Zero chance I'm spending over $100 for a bottle of wine.

                      Especially when there are wines like The Kitchen Sink (Reserve) that you can buy for $15.
