The backpedaling here should be interesting, but far more likely to see the same strategy employed by anyone else prophesying catastrophe: keep bumping the date back and doubling down, eventually be right and claim "victory"

What do you think it was going to happen this year? don't be naive. There is no pushing the date back, I've made it very clear. It has to do with social security and medicare, and you're going to have 400million people or so very unhappy. But no way they government would plan for something like that, they are on your side, aren't they buddy?

True enough on the first part; but not having to push a date back isn't much of a claim to credibility when you don't give one to begin with. I don't disagree with you that sooner or later, an unsustainable program will bust beyond government's ability to pretend otherwise and people will be upset...but that seems like a pretty thin reason to claim a shadow government is preparing for martial law.

If you read any of what I post around here, you'd know I'm no fan of any government that governs any more than constitutionally permitted, which is all of them currently.

i just did, right around the time SSA and medicare runs out. Current pace is 2030, you can expect it to be too late by then to make any changes.

Not sure I agree with the timing, but it will certainly happen in the near future without drastic changes we seem incapable of making. How does that support the government planning for it, with the decision being made by many people who might not be in the government when the collapse comes?
