Has anyone ever flown on Spirit Airlines? Flying with them on Saturday

I actually had no idea that bags were not included and they don't appear to have a lot of space in the cabin.


I am flying with them on Saturday evening to Vegas.


Not really looking forward to it, but it is a nonstop flight at least! So I guess that I will just sleep or the 3 hours of the flight

I will agree with one philosophy that they have. NO food on the plane. Who really wants to eat airline food anyway?? I wouldn't mind a Dr. Pepper to drink, but I guess that I can bring my own

You can bring one personal bag on as long as it fits under the seat in front of you. Anything in the overhead you get charged for. If you do not pay for a checked bag ahead of time, the price goes up. Same goes for carry on's. If you can upgrade to their "big ass seats" for 50 bucks, just do it. If you plen on ordering anything other than water to drink, buy it in the airport.

You can find bags that fit a good amount of clothes and fit under the seat on Amazon for less than the carry on fee.

I was flying out to Vegas/Pasadena for the Auburn/Florida State title game. Flight out of NY got cancelled, so I drove to Detroit to get around the storm. Ended up booking a cheap flight with Spirit. Got whacked for each bag, had no leg room, but it was a cheap ticket and I got there in time.

I wouldn't voluntarily fly through them ever again.
