Just hilarious that the flag is now the scapegoat. It's been flying for how long and nobody gave a shit about it, but now there's outrage and horror that it's still flying. Nobody gave a damn 2 weeks ago. This is like fatso's like Peter King being all huffy and puffy about the Redskins logo & name. He could give two penetrates about it now, he only cares and is outraged when the spotlight is on so he can get attention.

Leave it up to the states to decide and worry about something else. I grew up in the south & could take it or leave it. My personal opinion it should something an individual has the right to own, buy, fly, but it shouldn't be a symbol of a collective group of people many of whom it has a different meaning.

Ironically Amazon, eBay, Walmart and others decided to pull it once sales shot up over 3000% at last count but did it for the media effect. It's Chick Fil A all over again....the media says EVERYONE disagrees with the chicken slinger and suddenly they hit their highest sales ever in a mass effort to show support not really for the chain's values but because people don't like the media and govt forcing things on us.

Dane nailed it in the above post....back the hell off with the outside pressure and things will get resolved. I talked already to a bunch of friends back in Mississippi who over the weekend were fine with taking it down...but have now joined the petition to keep it solely because the bullying over it. Pointed out that a statewide vote was held already....2:1 margin voted to settle on the current state flag as the compromise and thats even with black districts voting in favor and Mississippi having one of the largest black populations in America so when left up to the people who actually have to live with it....they get it done.

The flag flying anywhere has nothing to do with the issues as has been pointed out.
