I liked it and I agree with you, Farrell has an amazing character.

Right now I'm not sold on Vince Vaughn in this role. No hate, It's just on this first episode at least he was a bit stiff. That doesn't mean I won't get use to him.

I have big hopes for sure.

My wife hated the first episode after LOVING season 1, so chalk her up with those other haters.

Other than Farrell, I was shocked at the casting choices for season 2 when they were announced. With that said, i was presently suprised with their performances in episode 1. Farrell was even better than I expected. I thought Rachel McAdams was superb and now think she will do just fine. Vaughn was adequate, but has a long way to go. With that said, he was much better than I was expecting, as I was expecting a disaster. Kitsch was average. Pizzolatto and his writers are brilliant, so I only expect it will get better each week.

I thought Farrell did great with his role. That line he had when he went to the school bully's house was hilarious! Vaughn is OK but I was really hoping it was going to be closer to the character he played in Clay Pigeons - affable on the outside and total psycho on the inside. Not sure about McAdams...guess she is trying to be more diversified as an actor but not sold on her. Don't know what to make of Kitsch yet, but I am intrigued enough to continue to watch.

wow i am surprised.

i thought it was unwatchable all the way from the opening intro song.

horrific acting by Collin Farrell IMO. I had to turn it off i was so bored.

No way they did that.

IMDB gave the spolier away.

It lists Farrell as "8 episodes" for Season 2.

Not sure how he survives that, but he does it would appear.
