How convenient for all the frugal fuks out there. "I'm not cheap, it's the rule"
I've used the app maybe 10 times and 1 lady gave me the thanks but no thanks line. Pulled out another 5 and "accidentally" dropped it on the front seat for her honesty. I understood what shes doing to her cars value even if she didn't get that Uber is taking advantage of her and her ride.
You really think they wouldn't appreciate some extra money for gas? More than likely they're new and/or afraid of some kind of Uber setup to test them rather than kindly refusing tips while Uber makes all the money.

I am more generous when less is expected of me. Tipping is something you do when you appreciate what someone does for you, even if it's not expected.

Bear no offense bro, it's the owner of Uber I can't stand. He is a real jerk.
Rich guy who believes his own crap.
His company is in court more than Judge Judy.
A lot of people hate him. He had the market cornered but his ego allowed him to make mistakes which enabled Lyft (his #1 competitor) to grow and thrive.
His executives are jumping ship left and right.
The Uber driver policy states you can get de-activated for accepting a tip without telling the customer it's against policy. Would you want to work in that environment?

Uber not going over too well in Paris with the local cab drivers. The Mayor caved and said they will ticket anyone operating an Uber.

If you drive Uber and have to by medical benefits then you make about $3 per hr
u really r an idiot. I use Uber daily and have several friends that drive for it and Lyft, no way they only make 7 bux an hour. One of my buddies drives a Tahoe and makes 700-1000 a week for less than 40 hours work

is that $700-$1000 per week profit after spending gas money, wear and tear on the Tahoe (Gas Mileage and car depreciation) ?
is it smart to lease a car if you want to drive for uber?
that way you don't spend 50K on a new Tahoe drive it around for a few years to make 60K and then sell the car for 30K

Have used it once, didn't tip. Oh well. They certainly make it seem like a 20% tip is already built in.
