A Walrus thread is never a waste of time. Maybe your life would be more fulfilling and complete if you had more of them. My mom used to tell me when i was little and i was not chained up "Son, sometimes life will throw you lemons. But if you take a Lincoln town car and drive it through someones living room you can go in their kitchen and use some of their paper plates." This all points toward the Walrus.
