On some fronts - there is no difference (how we deal with banks, how we deal with military contractors, dealing with free trade)

On the domestic front - there is vast differences. From Obamacare, to gay marriage, to legalizing/decriminalizing drugs, to catering to religious abstinence education, to climate change. Trying to reign in predatory lending, student loan relief, to extension of welfare. Green energy subsidies vs. fossil fuel subsidies.

Regardless of where you stand on those issues - with only a few exceptions within each party, it's pretty obvious there are definite differences domestically in overall policy between D and R.
