I think ALF's predilection for eating the cat was always just a euphemism for cunnilingus. That's why ALF always doted on Lynn, and also had sort of an adversarial relationship with Willie... because Willie was bangin' Kate and ALF wanted to stick his snout in someone's fishpie.

Are you watching all these episodes sober? If not, what are you drinking/taking?

Personally as a kid I liked ALF, but I tried watching it recently and that series didn't age well. Maybe I need harder drugs. Maybe I just need to get laid.
