I'll keep watching but it hasn't lived up to my expectations as I think with a lot of people. I think most people are BB dick riders who are doing the same with this show. Funny how most BB fans didn't watch the first three seasons when they aired on television so better call Saul is that filler for those people. Never the less I think the show should pick up as it has but it hasn't been anything special like people think it has been.

The show and characters would stand on their own without breaking bad. Sharon Bialy is pretty much god.

I've watched every episode, and while I think it's decent, I certainly don't think it's great.
Would I like it more if I had watched Breaking Bad? I never got into that.

Yes you would Giant. Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad.
I downloaded and binge watched BB. It was worth my time. It's regarded as one of the best TV series of all-time.
Things in BCS tie into BB that you wouldn't notice if you haven't watched BB.

I haven't seen Breaking Bad... do you know if watching BB would make me like ALF even more? Because I must say, I already enjoy ALF quite a bit, but if BB is the secret to greater appreciation of other television programs, then I'd be willing to give it a shot.

If you enjoy watching ALF then you probably wouldn't understand Breaking Bad.
My 8-year-old nephew used to watch ALF and he recommends you graduate to Spongebob Squarepants. Enjoy

I'm with, Giant, but I did watch and really liked Breaking Bad. So far Saul is just OK. I won't give up on it yet, but I was hoping for a little more.

Yeah, I know it's the prequel, and I've definitely heard great things about it, I'm just not sure I have the patience to sit through like seven seasons. I get antsy, man!

First few episodes of BCS were rough but it's gotten a lot more enjoyable.
Some great shows require some slow shows in the beginning (The Wire, Mad Men).

I didn't think The Wire started off slow, but the first season of Mad Men was the weakest on that series. Also I am watching The Sopranos again and the first seasons of that was really bad. Almost laughable. It had so many after school storylines that I'm shocked it stayed on the air.

It's nowhere near Breaking Bad at this point, but I'm hoping it gains a little momentum before season one ends.
Obviously, writing about the exploits of a criminal lawyer is less intriguing than a chemistry teacher turned meth cook. (not having Bryan Cranston as well)
I thought after eight episodes they would've introduced and developed other characters a little more, but I'll still be watching.

Yeah, I can relate. I mean ALF is really good and everything, but it's just not quite Spielberg's E.T. or anything like that.

Character driven comedy that makes us a bit "uncomfortable" to watch...
Tough as shit to pull off, but great T.V. when they pull it off.

I wish True Detective with the original cast would have been on longer then just one season.. That showed more promise then any of these wanna be contenders..
Still haven't seen a tv show series that beats Dexter yet either... Will try Better Call Saul though.. Haven't seen it yet.

Agreed. Those early years of Dexter were unbeatable.. Best detective show to date and that's why it lasted so long.. Dexter was the shiits.. Last season was garbage..
Trying Saul now..
