Come on man! Maybe stop smoking weed but gambling? They got a gun and badge but most these guys just two bit uneducated blue collar guys themselves. Job would come with a lot of b.s. and hassle from all sides. Your superiors demanding you do their hustle for dollars and dealing with scumbags on the reg. Is the flipside.

Plenty of cops who have vices though gambling, drinking and drunk driving (how ironic)are common and some do worse. Is a pretty extensive background check though and obstacles to get thru before even getting hired. Bear no offense but doubt you get past 1st base in hiring process lol. But no I'm not a pig....err cop I mean.

Bear ask yourself why would anyone wanna be a cop? The whole "serve and protect" thing sounds admirable but much more to it than that. Most these guys like I said are just average Joe's looking for a stable career and ex military looking for the action and brotherhood aspect. Obviously most these guys could just get manufacturing type jobs but they enjoy the power, low level celebrity, and mostly unwarranted hero worship they get from some.

all i want is a career that amuses me.

chasing bad guys and getting into gun fights with bank robbers like in that movie Heat with Al Pacino make me want to be a cop.

You're too funny Bear! The average cop would never in his life encounter a situation as hostile like in Heat. They may get into some situations a bit tense and dangerous at times. But I'm sure 90% is just mundane bitch work like traffic stops which is a big money maker for the man. Do a desk pop for us Bear.

This post here speaks volumes about you....if that is the reason you want to be a cop buy a fukkin video game because they wouldn't want anything to do with you...trust me....they would rather use you as a traffic cone because that's all you would be good for
