Fruit town Pirus are deep in Compton and no joke. The streets in that area are named after fruit so they call it fruit town.

I am a (now a middle aged) white guy who has traveled all these areas i.e. Watts, south Central, Compton ELA etc. (During the morning early afternoons) for years in a shirt and tie with minimal problems and only one semi serious incident.

It was part of my business. I managed and marketed foreclosures for a lot of banks directly as their real estate broker. I have seen a lot of crazy shit over the years.

I'm Canadian but have always been fascinated by places like Compton and Watts through listening to gangsta rap and watching movies like menace 2 society and boys n the hood. It would be interesting to visit some day but I've heard its not as crazy as it was in the 90s and that it's mainly dominated by hispanic gangs now.
