American Horror Story is pretty fun. Each season is a different setting and often use the same actors in different roles. Season 1 revolved around a haunted house, season 2 an insane asylum, season 3 a coven of witches, and season 4 a carnival freak show (my favorite). Season five is going to start in October but no word on the setting. You might also like The Strain on FX.

Then gave it another shot midway thru season 2 and restarted season 1 and you finally realized what was going on about 8 episodes in. Was very good. For some reason I didn't care for this new season as much as I did the first 2. But I still have the last 2 episodes to watch. I thought season 2 in the insane asylum was awesome, that blonde nun/devil made my pee pee hard for some reason.

I have to look online occasionaly to figure out a plot point but once you watch 4 or 5 episodes you start to realize that it's a show you have to pay close attention to. Remember, the same person that made this also made Glee so some parts of the show may NEVER make much sense.

my favorite of all time is The Sopranos, Breaking Bad was okay too, but nothing touches The Sopranos

I have seen the very first episode of Boardwalk Empire, didn't dig it too much, and haven't seen anything else

Wire then 24 then Lost

you should watch lost, just be sure to stop after the third season maybe even second season. That way you wont hate yourself at the end. You'll remember it as a good show.

I generally don't trust major network (Fox, ABC, etc.) series. 24 was ok back in the day I guess.

Never watched Lost, but am 10 episodes in and don't really like it. Only a couple interesting characters and the writing is bland, no depth.. lacks that 'hooked' feeling.

Need to stick to cable and movie channel series only. AMC has had some great ones. Will try some of the FX shows. And the BBC suggestions as well.

I felt the same way. First time I tried watching was a few years ago and could only last a handful of shows. Forced myself to watch the entire first season last year but couldn't take anymore.

Personally not interested in shows centered around black/gang culture.. gets old very quick.
