#2Depends where in spain? If its Southern/Eastern Spain you've got Valencia and Barcelona, Andora in the mountains. You're then close to Southern france - Nice and Monaco... train to northern Italy (not much there really) But can go and see the Alps, go up to Switzerland and into Germany - Amsterdam is pretty accessible from there.
Europe is not a small as you think though.... Barcelona to Nice via train is about 18hrs (its not direct though) You're better off renting a carComment -

#6Can get to Munich in 7 hrs, and London in 2hrs by train from Paris.
Paris is pretty cool, loads to see and do. Pretty expensive - suppose that depends on where you're from, and what you're used to in the states thoughComment -

Paris is extremely expensive. A can of soda was like $11. But there is neat stuff to see. The Louvre you can see the Mona Lisa and where they filmed the Movie of course. The garden is pretty . There is an interesting garden maze there by the entrance. All the people selling stuff without a license run in there when police start walking up. It is pretty funny actually.
There is Napoleons Grave and the Hunchback of Notre Dame Place there . And of course you have to see the Eiffel Tower . We went in there and even ate in the restaurant in there.Comment -

#16Go to Greece.
Visit Athens and see the Parthenon, the Acropolis museum and enjoy the night life if you like it.
You don't need a lot of days there. Concentrate on the Greek islands. Paradise. Exquisite beaches with crystal clear water and great night life. Most people speak English so you shouldn't have a problem.Comment -

#20Most everything was free from the trip i qualified for. But the times we got a couple things here and there it was always that price. I am converting this into US $$ of course. Many members of our group also paid that .Comment -

#23Maybe they did this was a trip i qualified for and won so they paid for mostly everything even the meal in the Eiffel tower was on them . We did stay right next to the garden by the Louvre . But we went to different Cafes and they all had the same type of prices. We got 2 sodas one night and 2 Creme Brules and that was over $60 US . But most everything was included breakfast was a buffet every morning courtesy of Aetna. I would hate to think what that would have cost lol.Comment -

Not sure how much time you have there, but if it's limited, I would just do Barcelona for a few days, and maybe a couple more cites in France and maybe Italy. I feel bad for people that try and rush and cross a bunch of cities off of some imaginary checklist. You really end up cheating yourself. My sister and brother in law are like that. Saw a lot -- experienced nothing. They just got back from Morocco and all they did was talk about the f'king airport. Barcelona alone deserves way more than 2 days leisure time. You're probably not going to die anytime soon, so you can always go back.
And do not rent a car. As an American or Canadian, it will drive you nuts and suck out a lot of the pleasure of the trip itself. Euros drive like absolute dicks, and the signage isn't as easy to follow, even if you know the language. Just way too stressful when the train is right there.Comment -

#35Going to take a bullet train to Paris and Amsterdam, and stay in a hostel. Probably won't have enough time to see Venezia, and probably won't have enough money by then since Italy is expensive as hell. Someone was telling me 1 slice of pizza was $11 dollars standing outside and $22 just to eat inside.Comment
