For some reason I expected it to be a great movie but it was pretty good I guess. without giving too much away, there was Some cliche stuff in it but overall too many unrealistic gambling situations for it to be considered a great movie.

I can't believe the scenes where the hero is allowed to bet $250,000 on black at roulette. Any casino that allowed him to do that would have to have a huge bankroll.

The new one hast be better than the 1974 one, that was idiotic script and acting, and the basketball scene where he payed off 1 of the players to throw the game was bloody idiotic lol.

Takes 1 stack high society, doubles up somehow to around 250K playing BJ, then walks accros the casine and puts it all on black. Realistic.

I like Walberg, watched this last night with low expectation, and was still a bit disappointed.

Saw the movie. I'd say that it's not something exceptional. Doesn't remotely top Owning Mahowny, Rounders, Stu Ungar Story or The Cincinnatti Kid, but it's ok.
The movie itself is too predictable, it's not directed pretty well and the movie production is mediocre. The only thing I like is Wahlberg's acting.
