Took two weeks off. Got a decent gig. Gives me 22 days vacation a year. Most years I can't even use them all. This is week 2 of the break and have been loving it!

I been teaching Elementary Physical Education for 35 years and don't say that it's easy. I have over 80 students in a class to control and adding 90 minutes of lunch duty. Along with ARD and faculty meetings, with lesson plans and TEK's to follow in every lesson. Grading 450 students. physical fitness testing and recording their scores. Having principal observations and monthly walkthroughs along with Field Day and planning PTA Programs and I can go on and on.

We are advised not to play dodgeball because of head injuries. Instead we play alternative games by rolling the balls or sliding bean bags at their feet to get them out.

I work at a casino. We are 24-7-365. We don't recognize holidays at all.
I'm in management so I have days off if I want off but most have to work all the time.

I will probably work until noonish on New Years day and then dip out to grill and watch some bowl games.

I was afraid you might say that...although I wouldnt want my kid getting beamed with some of the heaters I used to throw, I do remember kids getting knocked to the ground after getting blindsided by a stray ball...Made em tough though, get knocked down and get back up...times do change, we were allowed to bring pocket knives to school when I was that age, had to be under a 3in blade lol...you get expelled for that nowadays.
