Lets be honest here folks, the NFL or football is a violent sport. Big muscular bodies clashing amongst each other every play. Lets be honest here folks, what do you expect these players to be on the outside. Ya a lot of them are smacking around their spouses and maybe getting to hot and heavy with their children, but that's life folks. If you are trying to make these players look like role models surely enough folks their not. And you cant fault them for that.

NFL needs to penetrate off and not bother the players on their outside lives. How would you feel if your boss fired you over stuff that has no relation to your job? Like a great man once said "I dont come to your job and slap the dick out your mouth"

I don't know if the NFL is trying to make them role models, but when kids grow up watching things on TV, whether it's sports or superman, those people often are who the kids want to be like.

90% of NFL players would be in prison, but the NFL pays them good enough and they are superstars so they don't go to jail for shit they get busted for, like us regular folk do.

I agree with you to a point, that they shouldn't be getting punished for all these things, but then again, I'm not sure how my employer would react to me getting arrested for assaulting my wife...I'd think they have the right to fire me because of that.

I would agree if these players were not getting paid the money that they are. If you pay someone a million dollars and all you ask is for them to act properly and they can't do it, then you need to find someone who can.

I kind of agree with war, they play a violent sport, and we expect them to be angels off the field. Doesn't mean it's right, but it is a double standard.
