Whirlwind of activity. Mostly booze and strippers. Gonna watch games sober today, maybe hit the casino. Archie ill find you for fisticuffs. This town aint big enough for both of us.

walk as far north east down bourbon as you can, when you reach the end of the bars/clubs at the n.e. end of bourbon (where the bars end and it becomes residences), go into any bar in that area and you'll be right at home...... don't forget to bring your assless chaps!

actually, the FBI just rolled in...... just like they did when I predicted several years back that this peaceful religion of Islam is hell bent on detonating a nuke in wash d.c. or nyc as soon as they can.........

on another serious note, my first stop in the quarter -- during "R" months -- used to always be Felix' Oyster Bar on Bourbon (entrance to the oyster bar is off the side street that runs into bourbon, main part of the restaurant is on Bourbon, but they'll guide u to the bar) for some fresh-shucked oysters and cold ass beers (a couple of cool-ass local black dudes with strong opinions on what the saints are doing either wrong or right shuck them right in front of you).... you make your own cocktail sauce in little containers, put in 2/3 ketchup, 1/3 fresh squeezed lemon juice--u squeeze it--and a chunk of fresh horse radish, mix it up, dunk the oyster in it and put it on a saltine cracker....chow down.... delectable.... wash it down with the cold brew of your choice, repeat 23 times........

Best breakfast ever at the Camellia Grill at the end of the St. Charles trolley/streetcar. Definitely one of the highlights of every NO trip I've ever taken.

other easy ones: galatoire's in quarter for sauteed softshell crab and other hi end seafood; brennan's for breakfast/bloody mary's; RnO's in bucktown (lakeshore, near metarie) for some bad ass pizza and/or lower-cost fried/broiled seafood.... any emeril restaurant will be bad ass as well.... same for the brennan famiy restaurants (Commander's, Dickie Brennan's, Place Cafe on canal, etc.)

one of my more recent favorites is the charbroiled oysters at Drago's.... best i've ever had by far! one near the causeway, one at the hilton next to harrah's .... bad ass after a day of 2-5 nlhe at the casino.....

Yeah buddy! The Joint is the bomb - I am a BBQ freak and try and sample from everywhere I go. The Joint is the best I've ever tasted (other than my own of course)
