Awesome 30 for 30. The former BC assistant that essentially said college shaving is still quite prevalent today at the very end was interesting. I can remember a few teams like Boise state last season having some really strange endings that made me wonder

Easier route with referees than players.

I find it amazing that the only reason this became a huge case was because of how badly the Feds wanted to pin something on Jimmy Burke.

that was the one interesting thing about it, the rest was boring

Jimmy Burke or Bob Wilson from down the street, it doesn't matter who from outside of the league fixes or shaves points, it is illegal. The leagues can and does fix games and it is perfectly legal for them to do so. Who remembers few years ago Congress was going to have hearings on the alleged leagues fixing games? notice how it went away? reason being is once any given league gets wind of one of these dog and pony shows they send an advance team of Attorneys to Washington to remind them of the stipulations the client has set fourth. Most of the legal warnings are posted in Attorney talk on a ticket stub. By purchasing that ticket you agree to the conditions on stub and main stipulation is where it says: "For entertainment purposes only". Therefore, they can feed us a line of BS. I invest in games with a little known system that is difficult for the leagues to screw with, but I'm like most here i still dabble on individual games, only because i think i can figure out the fix and sadly, i can't.
Ever wonder why some online shops get shutdown by feds and some don't? i believe (can not prove) that some shops simply pay into a tribute and continue to be in business and some say fukc off and get closed down. If feds REALLY, REALLY wanted your internet business shut down they could do it in literally 3 seconds.
I believe if everyone stopped buying tickets and demanded wording on ticket stubs be changed to protect the consumer, NFL, NCAA, NBA etc. Would flourish to levels never seen. I personally know people who are sworn to never speak about what they know never watch a game and laugh at those who do. Wish i knew exactly why, but they'll never say. I also know several people who have no knowledge of inside intel say they've seen enough of games to never watch again. imagine if the right thing was done and these people would start watching again, it may add another 20-30 million purchasers and attendees.

I thought it could have been better. The team didn't even lose the spread half the year like they were told too

That made it alot more dramatic, movie-like. Anyway not the first time big mouth Henry screwed up, mobsters always talk too much.
