    Recommend some Netflix documentaries
Seen most of the sports ones...Looking for any other good ones, pretty much open to anything minus war things.

    Enjoy hitler.
    Enjoy food.
    Enjoy outdoorsy.
    Enjoy Murderers.

    So far have written down
    The Art of Flight (snowboarding)
Where the trail ends (mountain biking)
Mile...Mile and a half (john muir trail CA)
    Gonzo (Hunter S Thompson)
    Cocaine Cowboys Reloaded
    DMT : The Spirit Molecule

The Fog of War.... I know you said "minus war things" but it mostly focuses on Bob McNamara and his life. I mean there are discussions about modern warfare throughout, but they're more informative and mathematical.

I was never into skate boarding in the 80's as I was into BMX, but I grew up hearing who most of the main guys were from friends who skated. These documentaries are excellent and filled with great tunes from their respective era. I have watched each of them several times.

          I highly recommend them.

Dogtown and Z-boys and then watch Bones Brigade: An autobiography

You won't be disappointed. It is a very amazingly well done documentary and a great follow-up of sorts to the Dogtown and Z-Boys one. Stacy Peralta is a genius.

American Underworld --- watch all 3 like mini series parts -- its probably the best documentary on netflix, previews the lives of people making drugs, car and identity theft, and then the sex trade..the first two parts are awesome the last part kinda fell off a bit.

180 Degrees South is pretty good as well. very laid back. some find it boring.

Watched "Fork over Knives" last night. Interesting studies about food and cancers in China. The rest of it was all pretty much about people eating shit and being unhealthy...common sense. But the studies about China was interesting.

I've watched a good bit of documentaries on netflix (and have the same question as the OP actually) but my own opinion on some of the recommendations people have made already:

Particle fever - Enjoyable for sure! (but I'm kind of into nerdy physics stuff like this, so proceed with caution)
DMT: The spirit molecule - Awful, just comes off as pandering BS nonsense. Also, I used to study neuropharmacology so none of the information (the few things that were accurate) were new to me
Gonzo - Interesting movie, I enjoyed it and recommend it, I actually learned a ton about Hunter S. Thompson (I didn't know much before though)
Bigger Faster Stronger - Also solid, I recommend it as well
Cocaine Cowboys - Also interesting, I enjoyed it
Unsealed: Alien Files - I tried with all my might to make it through this absolute piece of garbage (why? I don't know...) Anyways, stay far away from this moronic documentary of crazy whack jobs that need to be heavily medicated

                                                  Some others:
There are some 30 for 30 films on Netflix I think... some better than others but worth taking a look at some of these.
We cause scenes - Not amazing, but its an interesting look at the origin of 'flashmobs' and whacky pranks that has its moments
Zeitgeist series of movies - Sort of interesting, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend these films though, you really need to be pretty into politics to take a lot away from these films
Enron: The smartest guys in the room - Very recommended, I really don't keep up with 'business world' type of news, so I learned a good bit and was entertained for sure

^^^ My favorite 30 for 30 was Broke, which told how many pro athletes end up going bankrupt.

A REALLY good documentary was Catching Hell which was the story of scapegoats, primarily revolving around the Cubs fan who interfered with that foul ball back in the 2003 playoff game.

Totally agree with this, Broke and Catching Hell are must see 30 for 30 films. The 30 for 30 I would add to this is 'The U', about the rise (and fall, sort of) of the University of Miami's football program, probably my favorite 30 for 30. Its funny, witty, dramatic, relevant, everything you could ask for in a film.

And 'Pony Excess', also a great 30 for 30, about the SMU football program and all the bribery that occurred, along with the death penalty SMU got from all of that.

The best 30 for 30 hands down is The Two Escobars and I am not a soccer fan.

Other great 30 for 30's that haven't been mentioned: Bad Boys, Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks, Unguarded, and Survive and Advance.

Also a shitload of great docs on you tube.
