Boston quite clean imo. Ive been to Toronto and Seattle this year and both were surprisingly filthy. Compared to NYC (my home) id say Seattle was as dirty or slightly more and Toronto only slightly less dirty. DC cleanest ive been to, but Boston aint bad. Dont confuse aged with dirty.

I loved the history of the city and really enjoyed visiting the sites. BUT, that said I encountered the RUDEST people ever there. From people on the subway, to taxi drivers, to the clerk at the motel, to waitresses. HORRIBLE service just about everywhere. Granted I'm coming from Las Vegas where customer service is generally excellent but in that way Boston was a huge disappointment for us.
