and genuinely thought he got a raw deal .

I tried to understand the Mike Brown situation , but could not come to a decision either way on it.

And have always thought I gave black people their fair shake......

but after this video below, I believe I might be a little racist now.

You gotta be kidding me ? White people are FAR from the problem in all this.

That videos message was annoyingly presented and very biased against us white folk

In my existence of 32 years on earth , I personally, have seen more blind hate from black people

towards whites then I have seen the other way around. This video really rubbed me the wrong way.

Im not sure what I expected when I clicked play, but it certainly wasnt that bullshit I heard.

The way these kids are talking in this video is part of the vicious cycle

on why they grow up to think(and act out) the way they do .

Because of isolated events, we are becoming more and more fearful to speak our minds

Imagine if that video started off " Hey Black People" .... it would be labeled 100% racist regardless

what the rest of the video content consisted of .

And this is all coming from a guy that will tell a black person directly to their face that I have felt more racism

from them towards my people then the other way around. Think im kidding ? I party (at work) with black people

at least 15+ times in my 3 years working at a hotel . Ill smoke/drink with them , even spit some raps with them

But , at least a handful of times I have gotten into a race conversation with some of emm and stated my true feelings

without hesitation . Everytime , outside of one instance, they went from being super cool with me , to instantly

looking at me like I was the enemy. Ill never be afraid to speak my mind to them, and by that I mean in real life directly

face to face in the flesh . But ive noticed lately a lot of people im around are scared to voice their opinions .

Facts are facts, if black ppl want to be looked at in a dif light, start worrying less about pulling the god damn race card

and start working collectively together(as a race) at declining the alarming statistics of crime that are documented

Yeah, too snarky to make a point. White people are racist as fuk, we already know that. Black people have done little to change anyone's attitude towards them. Maybe they should worry more about the cause instead of the effect.

Anyway, I said it before, don't judge blacks by the ones in St. Louis. I grew up here, very close to Ferguson. Way too many blacks here had victim complexes, played the race card ALL the time, and were just itching to act out the second anything even remotely perceived as racism was heard, or they just simply didn't get their way. When I started traveling the country and after I moved out of state, I almost never saw it like I did back home. Heard everywhere in St. Louis county.....

Mostly white school actually beat a mostly black school in basketball for once?? "Racist refs" (they won by 25 and the fouls were even, so I doubt that)

Walgreens wouldn't honor your coupon that expired 6 months ago? "Man, there's some RACISM going on right here."

Can't get into a club/restaurant because you violate the dress code that's clearly posted outside the door? "That's muthafukkin racist!!!" (often followed by vandalism or violence)

I saw it all first-hand, all the time.

Not to mention the thousands of young black males that turned a lot of St. Louis into no-go areas (Top 5 in murders every year!!), and take the Metro-Link into wealthier areas to purse-snatch and shoplift. They can't have things stay the way they are and/or get worse and expect the rest of the America to just be okay with it because you say so.

This is totally unfair to black people as a whole, people in Ferguson should not be the ones carrying the torch for anti-racism, and we see why in the video. Ferguson got a golden ticket last month to actually end up having some good come out of this in the end on a global scale, but it looks like they're screwing this up too.

I'm pretty sure most whites wish society wasn't this way with our sour attitudes towards each other -- but there are reasons why it's like this. And instead of attacking those problems, we should just go with the "hey you, stop feeling that way" victim approach?? Dumb.

I live approx 2 hours away from the Lou and do a lot of dif shit there

I'm trying to show the silliness of this one-size-fits-all approach to "ending racism" (which is like trying to get rid of sand). These anti-racism t-shirts and campaigns, to me at least, go something like this....

Random person: "Hey, racism is bad. We should end it. See, my shirt says we should."

The world: "Yeah!! You're so right. I was racist, but now I'm not anymore, whoopie!!!"

You can't tell somebody how to feel, and then poof, they start feeling that way. That's not how it works. This is my problem with anti-racism campaigns. They do absolutely nothing. They may show the other side of the coin (a side most of us are already aware of by now), but until the day comes when groups of people who don't look and act like us completely stop doing things we don't like, which will never happen, then none of this is going away at all. So let's cut the bullshit already.

And that video did throw in the victim approach too, which you have to stop and think at some point "How well has this really worked for me?" I doubt the answer would be all that positive. They are victims in a number of ways, but leaning on that over and over again is a weak and generally ineffective approach IMO.

As far as that video you posted goes, I really feel that the actual shooting of Michael Brown really opened up everyone's eyes, including white people. However, the actions that followed shortly after and were caught on video of black people rioting and looting only made the racism worse.

I still do not understand why some black people feel the need to take out their frustrations by burning down black owned businesses and robbing them, not to mention getting revenge by attacking random white people who have absolutely nothing to do with why they are pissed off in the first place. Most of the time this select few are just opportunists looking to cause mayhem because they have nothing better to do.

There are a lot of good black people in this country, but unfortunately with them being a small minority, it only takes a few to fukk it up for everyone.

I know all about historic slavery...Jews have been slaves in a few places too ya know. And I'm all for the civil rights movement...anti slavery...I just mean the ones who tie everything into that as an excuse as to why they can't get anywhere now or in recent years. Out of Italians who came to Ellis Island, Jews who came over after WW2, Asians, Irish, Arabs, all have thrived under the same system. Slavery is an evil abomination....in any form. kinda regret making this thread but that video I posted I think is made to stir up trouble to begin with
