The whole ISIS thing is a bit confusing, wasn't ISIS good when trying to over-throw Assad of Syria? So, why are they suddenly bad? Or does Obama feel compelled to do something about ISIS in Iraq because it was brought to the attention of Americans. Also, how many ISIS members have entered U.S. via Southern border.

Look at us and Russia now, in 2001 they were the first to supply us with solid intel on AQ camps in Afghanistan that helped in the initial operations....we helped some ISIS guys in Jordan in regards to helping in the syria/iran/aq triangle....now its backfiring...its a cycle. Outside of the Peshmerga with the Kurds I've never seen any loyalty held from conflict to conflict in the entire region.

Hell I went through IOBC (infantry officer basic course) at Ft Benning 8 or 9 years ago and we had Syrian and Georgian officers in the class as guests....two of the syrians as recently as 2013 were still serving in Assad's forces. Times change, and quickly.
