    Have you ever contemplated suicide?
With Robin Williams taking his own life recently there has been some talk on SBR about depression and whether or not suicide is a cowardly act or not. What are your thoughts on suicide and have you ever thought about it yourself? This is a hidden poll so please answer honestly.

I'm actually surprised he lived to be 63.
You could see that the weight of the world and the billion things going through his mind was way too much for anyone to handle.

IF I'm taking myself out, there's a lot more going with me.

Yet, with all that, he seemed to be able to fuk around on his first wife

the guy was classic bipolar and it's been known ever since he got his first break. anyone who's seen any of his comedy routines and interviews could see how extremely manic he was. of course there was the other side of that too.. the lows.

only point being, bipolar people are at a much greater risk of suicide.

                            It's called a comedy routine

and I seen a couple interviews with him (I posted one in the original thread) and HE never mentioned any mental problems

I think everyone is taking what is being spoon fed to them and running with it. It's easier to handle.

I/O are you being serious? No offense, none of your points are a good counter to whether Williams had mental disease or the proclivity to it

you're either clueless or totally naive. he spoke openly about his addictions and fragile mental state many times over the years. two of his wives and children have spoken about it too. he was constantly "acting" in real life too which exhausted him to no end.. that's classic mania. he was bipolar, really not a big deal talking about it. didn't make him a "bad" person, just important to understand the reasons behind his actions
