You are right in some respects. It does upset me when someone refuses to modify or change an opinion when it has been shown to be flawed or disproved. There isn't anything more unscientific than that behavior.

It would certainly behoove me to believe that, since my offspring will have white, black, asian and Native American blood in them and all the "benefits" of those genetic variances. But I don't believe that. Everything we see in each other as human beings comes from our brains. Sadly, our brains are also what causes us to assign personal differences to differences in appearance. We were never designed to be logical, rational, fair beings, just to survive and procreate indefinitely. But it is very awesome to see that in rare instances our brains are used to correct mistakes that our parents and grandparents made about judging people based on appearance.
