Whats the scam?

So heading to Vegas this weekend, been many times. I see on CL that someone is selling a room at PH. I contact him and he is charging 320 for friday, saturday, and sunday night. Gives me a confirmation code and I pull it up using the website for PH and it is valid. So whats the hustle here? How can I get screwed? I am always the person who feels if it is too good to be true, it usually is.

Thats what I figured. In all honesty, I am fine with that scenario. If I had comped rooms and I could flip them, I would do it all day. I make cash and the people get cheaper rooms. If that was the case, I wouldnt have any problem with it at all. I am meeting him at the lobby when I get there and he is going to give me the key. Probably going to have my other guests walk up to the room and verify the room is good before I leave the guy or give him the cash if I decide to do it. Of course lock up all of the personal belongings in the safe before leaving. Would I have access to change the room keys?

I am also worried about being hauled out in the middle of the night because of a stolen cc used to reserve the room

Seems like a lot of risk for a $300/nt room - what is it if you booked the room yourself? If his name is on room, real easy to let you get keys, drop stuff - head out, and he shows up 4 hours later - tells desk all his keys are lost and to re-key the room. Now your out money and your shit. Your name has to be on reservation to even come close to being worth it

When I used the pH website to look up the reservation, I got his name, address, the phone number that was used to make the reservation, and his e mail address. Yeah I think so too, I can figure something out to keep his key from not working while im there, just use the latch. Lock up money and belongings when nobody is in the room. Im using my google voice number and it seems like he is using a different number then the one that made the reservation. But everything we talked about, the reservation is matching.

320 total for the 3 nights. Rooms this weekend are expensive. My name will be put on the room. We will walk up to the front desk and put my name on the room. But you are right, he can always re-key the room. But what if my name is on there?

Yeah Ill be on here all weekend seeing how it goes. I mean I got all of the guys information. I am hoping that he gets the room comped and just makes a quick buck every weekend off tourists. Id be ok with getting a deal and his hustle. Ive never burned anyone on cl and just hoping that karma keeps running through. I get great comps here but I live in Miami so have to be worth my time to make this flight. They sent me tickets to the Mayweather fight next month so its very tempting to go.

Heading up there tomorrow, but decided not to do it. Just wasnt going to put others in the uncomfortable position for those staying in the room with us. Plus, dont want to lose 320 cash right away when I got there. Got a sweet deal at the Westgate (LVH) for half the price. Couldnt beat that! So Vegas Vegas Vegas!
