Facebook is great for telling idiots that the videos that they are posting are not real.

You can only add automated testing tools if you know how to fukking use them.
Brock, has no clue how to code, which is essential, if you wanna use any of the tools that you talk about.

If I need facebook or any other social media to stay in contact with you, then you aren't actually a friend.
Besides all the cool kids use Instagram and other shit now.

As others have stated, twitter is good for news. Facebook is a great way for the world to know way too much about you. Half of the things I ever posted on FB got deleted, I guess bc it was reported as offensive, or maybe FB checks. I don't post personal stuff or "like" pages or any of that, and what I find entertaining, is too crude for FB.
I've seen people posting pics on FB, of their job or worksite. Sometimes even of sensitive material or equipment, or the pic was taken in a photo restricted zone. FB seems like a great way to get yourself in trouble. Too much info for others to see/use.

I admit the main reason I have facebook is so ex GFs can get back in touch with me for nostalgia sex
One may ask, "Can't they just call you?"
But there is a huge difference between a chick cold calling an ex bf and while surfing their facebook account just sending a message

And what would you do with it? I guess facetime when they are on a vacation or visiting hometown.
Dude to be in touch with someone now means a lot of other things besides talking over the phone.
And for OP...facebook/twitter is old, you want to be on Insta! That's the place to be....

Why do you want companies, among other groups, to have access to your personal life? You are not only giving away data but also exposing yourself. A simple example, saying you are on vacation. Cool now JJ gold or Brock L is going to go take a dump in your house and then rob you. I think the biggest issue I have is how oblivious some people can be about privacy.

I am talking about privately mass messaging friends and family for events. It is just convenient. Not posting to the 1,000 people on your friend's list(500 of whom you probably don't even know) where you will be.
Believe me, I tell my brother all of the time about his wife posting how they are going to be out of town at the Casino, and then posting from there. You don't need someone watching your every move so they can come and steal your shit when you are not at home.

True, a PM is a better route. Im always telling my fam the same thing about posting day to day stuff. It just blows my mind, but there are safe ways to utilize FB. It's great for some businesses.

I laid down the law with my wife years ago after I caught her posting on Facebook that we were going to be out of town. My brother's wife still does it though. "Look, here we are at the Cavs/Spurs game, then we are going to the Casino, we won't be home until next week" That is just asking for trouble.

Twitter is awesome for news and real time sports info
I also find it fun to follow lesser known tennis players and yell at them when they lose matches I bet on, or thank them after a win
Also nice to follow porn stars , many of whom take tons of candid nude pics and post them all day.

There are privacy options so it's not like the whole world knows where your brother and his wife are headed.
If her posts are for friends only I don't see any issue unless she has accepted friend requests from strangers then that is different. Also you can have a specific audience for your each posts so that also takes care of things...like out of 350 odd friends I have made diff lists like school friends, work friends, close friends, family etc. So if I post something that I don't want everyone to see then I select like "close friends only" so only they can see my post showing I was at a club or whatever.
So basically there are measures one can take and hopefully she does...

Yep...just today there's a stupid 'real ABC news story' being passed around by the ignorants saying the drinking age across the country is being raised to 25 as of today......recycled hoax and yet people are still stupid enough to keep doing it

i do have their numbers, just easier to keep in contact with them all in one place. don't see the difference really in using facebook rather then email or text. just about everyone i know has facebook app on their cell so they will receive it in the same way. plus as others have said you can just call them up through facetime.

^ Most people don't give it a second thought. I say, Fukk Z and FB, they don't put food on my table. Not to mention I really would like to remain "unlisted", is his human database. I'm in the minority, but that's how I know it's a good idea to stay away.
