The wife and I watched it last week and actually enjoyed it. I always liked Josh Brolin ever since he played "W".

how true did it stay to the original? most certainly not going to waste my time watching, just wanted to know how they could even attempt to remake a movie that has no equal translation on a cultural level. we're americans. they're south koreans. completely different structures, values, social...

but gosh darn that original was fukkin good. need to get back to that. haven't seen much in years, i'm talking Attack the Gas Station might be the last one i saw...its been years.

the original 1 of the best films I have ever seen. The whole movie is a roller coaster of action with 1 plot twist after another. As far as the remake I haven't seen it.

The original was great but probably a little too crazy for most western audiences (as is the case wid most asian films lol) how much did they change?

The original source is actually a Japanese Manga which differs from the film. Although I wouldn't want to touch it there was a chance to produce something different. However, Spike Lee is a hack. How long has it been since Do The Right Thing?

The original was also called Oldboy (2003)

Korean movies generally have good storylines... here's a few I would recommend:

                            New World (2013)
                            Bedevilled (2010)
                            Miracle In Cell No.7 (2013)

He was good in No Country for Old Men. Funny DUBYA impersonation though.

I only know the original film and it was pretty great. The other two from the Vengeance-trilogy are great as well. Highly recommended.

Great ending to the film, made it worth it for some of the nonsense fighting.

its okay kind of cheesey but if you have Netflix and you aren't watching Tombstone just because of a slim val kilmer acting his ass off i'm not sure what you're doing with your life. Watched that shit twice last night after the pirates game ....Twice.
